Will my pet be accepted? What warrants a denial?

Pets are accepted for grooming only under the following circumstances....

  • The pet is fit and healthy, Grooming which takes place on an elderly or infirm pet will be at the owner's risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing health\skin conditions for which Happy Hounds Mobile Grooming LLC cannot be held liable.

  • The pet's rabies vaccine is up to date (as required by Louisiana law)

  • In the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorize Happy Hounds Mobile Grooming LLC to contact the nearest Veterinarian and authorize the Vet to treat the pet as necessary at your expense. 

  • Pets who are aggressive will not be accepted and kept on a schedule.

  • Nail cutting and ear cleaning are part of the service unless the process is too stressful for the pet or too dangerous for the groomer.

Payments:

Payment is to be made at the time of service. Payment can be cash, check or credit card. Returned checks will incur a $35 charge. Our rates are based on the breed of the pet, size, and duration of the groom.

Matting policy:

“De-matting" or complete coat removal will dramatically alter your pet's appearance. This procedure may expose pre-existing health\skin problems for which Happy Hounds Mobile Grooming LLC cannot be held liable. Severe matting has the ability to cause skin sluffing, bruising, hematomas on ears, and poor circulation. Because of severe matting, Happy Hounds has the right to refer out in the event the matting is severe enough. 

No-shows/Cancellations:

It is considered a "no-show" when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule.

  • Happy Hounds reserve the right to charge the FULL grooming fee due to the loss of revenue caused by a "no-show". Please make every effort to call and cancel or reschedule when possible to avoid such situations.

  • Happy Hounds reserves the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason, at any time.

  • We are a local, small business and are directly effected by efforts not made by clients. 

  • After two no-shows we will no longer provide a service.
